Looks like Nelly Korda’s love life just got a little bumpier than a rough patch on the back nine. According to multiple spicy sources, her father — former tennis pro and Korda family patriarch Petr Korda — is not exactly teeing up the welcome mat for her new rumored boyfriend.
The alleged drama? Daddy dearest reportedly thinks the mystery man “isn’t PGA material” — and yes, he said that with a straight face. Ouch.
For those just tuning in, Nelly was recently spotted on several cozy outings with a very fit, very model-faced “friend,” who’s rumored to be a European influencer-slash-entrepreneur-slash-former motocross guy (because of course). They’ve been seen courtside at NBA games, hitting high-end juice bars in LA, and even sharing golf carts at a private course in Palm Beach.
But according to someone very close to the Korda family circle (read: a cousin’s friend’s girlfriend who probably wasn’t supposed to say anything), Papa Korda is “not impressed.”
“He doesn’t play golf. He doesn’t understand the grind. Petr thinks Nelly needs someone who gets the discipline of the tour,” the source spilled. “He actually said, ‘This guy wouldn’t last a day at Augusta.’”
Yikes.
Family tension? Fans sure think so. Observers noticed Petr was absent from a recent tournament where Nelly was expected to play and where, coincidentally, the mystery man was spotted clapping on the sidelines. A fan caught a blurry video of Nelly walking away from him post-round… and let’s just say, it wasn’t exactly a romantic stroll.

To be fair, Nelly has always marched to the beat of her own drum — and she’s made it clear in interviews that she doesn’t let anyone (even family) dictate her choices. “I know who I am on and off the course,” she once said. “The rest is just noise.”
Still, one can’t help but wonder if Thanksgiving dinner at the Korda house might include more side-eye than stuffing this year.
